we had lunch there today (pastrami on rye w/choc. eggcream...Fatastic!!!
Brought back memories of my grandmother(she lived on Norfolk & Delancy) my oldest boy (was 3mos.old) and me having lunch on Houston st. THANK-YOU!!! |

On the Food Network I saw how everyone loves your deli!
I live in Charlotte and plan on visiting your establishment on Providence Road.

Excellent Rueben. Nice touch offering the 'egg cream' to drink right off the bat without asking as I remember when living in Jersey.

Never thought I could find NY style deli of such exceptional quality in Charlotte. Corned Beef, Pastrami and Chopped Liver sandwich brought back memories of a deli from my childhood. Awesome Knishes, pickles and slaw. Attentive and friendly wait staff rounded a fabulous dining experience. Can't wait to try something else from the menu next time. |

I am from Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to Long Island about 8 years ago. Now, transfered to Charlotte with my employer and was glad to find Katz New York. This is the closest thing to being in NY down here. The restaurant is decorated with NY street signs and pictures and with the map of Canarsie (Brooklyn), where I grew up, I feel right at home.
Oh yeah, the food is great too.....
